Tri-Racket Event at Le Club

Le Club is sponsoring a unique charity event, Tri-Racket tournament, on June 9 & 10, 2012.  All proceeds go to the Wisconsin Paralyzed Veterans of America.  Players will compete in three different sports, tennis, table tennis and pickleball, and will be awarded points on how well they place in each sport.  Tennis and pickleball will be doubles and table tennis will be singles competition.  On Saturday night, June 9th, there will be a party at Le Club featuring table tennis player and awesome magician, Mike Mezyan (as some of you know).  For more information, contact:  Linda Leaf, 414-281-3123 or linda.leaf@gmail.com.  Download registration flyer here.  Make checks payable to Wisconsin Paralyzed Veterans of America and mail to Le Club.

Shorewood TTC Training Camp

After a very successful Wisconsin State Championships and Shorewood Monday Night League, the Shorewood TTC will be hosting, for the first time, a week-long summer training camp from July 30 to  August 3, 2012 at the Shorewood Intermediate School from 6:30pm to 9:30pm everyday.

This camp is your opportunity to take your game to the next level. The camp will give you the opportunities  to work on the areas that most of us need help on, footwork, serving, serve receive, forehands, backhands and anything else to help you make you the best player you can be.  We will have our 3 coaches running the camp: Coach Latzo, Coach Neo and Coach Penn running the camp!  These guys have the best player and coaching resumes in the State of Wisconsin.   All levels and ages welcome.   Sign up today for your spot in the Camp. If you are interested, open up the registration form, print out the form, fill out the information and either mail the form in or bring it to the Shorewood TTC on open nights.  If you have questions, please contact Linda Leaf at 414-281-3123.

The results for the 2012 Wisconsin State Championships is now on the Wisconsin State Championships Event Page.  Congrats to all who participated to make it a very successful event this year.

The Parent/Child Team Event at the Wisconsin State Championships

During the Wisconsin State Championships, the Shorewood TTC hosts the Parent/Child Team Event.  This is always an exciting event and a great turnout.  If you are interested in the event please print out the registration form and send it in or stop by the club on club nights. 2012 Wisconsin State High School Team Championship

2012 Wisconsin State High School Team Championship was held at Shorewood Intermediate School on Saturday, March 24, 2012. Ten schools with seventeen teams competed in the Championship this year. The schools included Appleton West, Greenfield, Madison West, Menomonee Falls, New Berlin Eisenhower, Oshkosh West, Pewaukee, Shorewood, Wauwatosa West, and University School of Milwaukee.

Teams were first divided into four round-robin groups based on their potential skill levels estimated by the Championship Director, Linda Leaf. Top two teams from each round-robin group then followed a single elimination bracket.

The results are: first place, New Berlin Eisenhower-A Team; second place, Wauwatosa West; third place, Madison West; and fourth place, Shorewood.

Our Intercontinental Partnership is here!

Everyone,  Thursday nights at the Intercontinental Hotel is where it’s at!  The Shorewood Table Tennis Club is partnering with the Intercontinental Hotel to have a social night around Table Tennis.  The customers (non-STTC players) will compete against the pros every Thursday night for prizes. It will be Thursdays during Happy Hour from 5:30pm to 7:30pm.  Drinks for club members will be discounted.  Come and relax and socialize!  They also made some cool drinks from Table Tennis terms!  If you want to help out with this please contact Jim Zonoozi or Linda Leaf for more information.
